As co-founder of International Swizzle Stick Collectors Association, I'd like to add my three cents worth to your notes on the Zulu Lula swizzle sticks. These were, and still are, sold in souvenir /novelty stores, and do come in vatious shades of browns and marble tones. Ther were also sold with the name of Ubangi o them as well. All varieties were "wired" to a cardboard, cartoon backing. And as you saw on e-bay there are sellers out there asking absoultely assinine prices. Actual first offering / selling retail prices were under $5.00. If anyone out there wishes to chast further on this or on swizzle sticks (my own collection is in excess of 55,000) I'd be only too glad to hear from you...ISSCA's website, along with information on our upcoming 13th convention in Las Vegas can be found at swizzlesticks-issca.com Thank you.
