So I completely understand the boy wow factor. It is our nightly thing that we watch He-man b4 bed and Shera. I'm at the moment trying to find some He-man toys for him to play with. The prizes on these toys are nuts. To much for me to buy for my 4yr old. From what I have seen on ebay $10 would have been a crazy price to have let that castle go for. It's great your son now plays with it. There was a reason it didn't sell b/c it needed a rightful owner (ur son). I'm glad to hear that my son isn't the only boy who likes the classic.
